Glenda Jackson stars in "King Lear" on Broadway with a cast of powerhouse actresses, including Jayne Houdyshell, Ruth Wilson and Elizabeth Marvel. But the modern, manic production, directed by Sam Gold, overpowers the pathos inherent in Shakespeare's play.
