The plays of Lynn Nottage have a way of taking on huge and difficult topics and distilling them into intimate, gritty and deeply authentic stories of individual lives in turmoil. They shy from neither heartbreak nor humor, and Monique Gaffney marvels at the way they encompass multiple story threads and tones.
