1939 Lee and J. J. Shubert collaborate with Hellzapoppin creators Ole Olsen and Chic Johnson to present The Streets of Paris on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre. The revue's stars include comedians Bobby Clark, Luella Gear, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. Also in the cast is a young singer making her Broadway debut, who Lee Shubert discovered on a recent trip to Brazil, named Carmen Miranda.
