Roger Allam has promised to get back to me about his testicles. Yes, really. This is not some dubious chat-up line from a man famed for playing "louche bastards", as he puts it. He is, quite literally, talking balls in response to a question about one of his early roles: talking testicles. Or he would be if he weren't handily claiming amnesia.
