I walked uptown from Soho to 90th Street on the Upper West Side yesterday afternoon. The city was amazingly quiet and calm with the exception of the occasional emergency vehicle with its siren on. As I got to 59th Street, I cut through the park where it was a spectacular day. I heard and saw a bunch of fighter jets overhead crisscross Manhattan.
