She appeared on Broadway as Peggy Sawyer later in the run of the original production of 42ND STREET, and repeated the role to great acclaim in many subsequent regional productions. She portrayed Polly in CRAZY FOR YOU for American Musical Theatre of San Jose and again at Music Theatre of Wichita, where she also portrayed Nellie in SOUTH PACIFIC. She was quite wonderful as Mother in the national tour of RAGTIME, and other credits include AND THE WORLD GOES ROUND. Her heart shaped face reminded some of the young Ruby Keeler, and but her astonishing combination of voice, dance and acting was entirely her own.
