[ USA ] Fine acting, foul plot: That's 'Rose's Dilemma' Patricia Hodges, the star of Neil Simon's new play, Rose's Dilemma (** out of four), has the unenviable task of replacing one of our most beloved comic actresses on very short notice. [ NYT ] THEATER REVIEW | 'ROSE'S DILEMMA' More Ghosts Than Originally Planned by BEN BRANTLEY Patricia Hodges does not deliver the Rose inspired by the imperious dramatist Lillian Hellman, but rather a stuffed dragon who wouldn't even scare a child in the play at the Manhattan Theater Club.
