He passed away May 23 in Sydney, Australia after a long fight with esophageal cancer. Mr. Rademacher was 50 on April 21. He was a supermodel in Australia and later Europe throughout the '70s and '80s, and became a producer in the 1990s. He formed Michael Rademacher Productions, which at first produced fashion videos, then later documentaries, films and television shows for the European and British markets primarily. He was an investor and producer of theatrical productions in Europe and Australia. His wife, Maria Rademacher, is a journalist and author. Michael was a very unassuming person, quite modest for a person of his success and talent. He and Maria were in the states in 2000 taking meetings with composers of unproduced works while also meeting about her film in development. Michael was a fan of Broadway taking in Contact, Rocky Horror, Jane Eyre, Seussical, Swing, Aida and The Tale of the Allergist's Wife in their short trip. Michael will be sorely missed by all those who he came in contact with. If anyone happens to catch an obit in an Australian paper, please send a link our way.
