Saturday, November 03, 2001 We're sorry, it's obviously a slow news day. On this date in 1992, William Jefferson Clinton was elected the 42nd president of the United States, defeating President Bush. And in 1998, Former pro wrestler Jesse ''The Body'' Ventura was elected governor of Minnesota. Which reminds me - go out and vote on Tuesday, all you New Yorkers. We've got an election! And the staff is not in the office today. Broadway Television Network has not released a statement about the demise of this business unit, strikingly similar to the way in which InTheater just disappeared in denial. Just like InTheater did, BTN has a plan to re-open BroadwayOnline.com with a white knight, but I don't see that happening at this point. We are very sad. But it looks like all of our favorite players will resurface very soon at familiar outlets. (Peter Filichia will kick off at TheaterMania on Monday!)
