No Mustache, No Magnum
For the next 15 weeks, Selleck will be at the Longacre Theatre making his stage debut in Herb Gardner's 1962 romantic comedy, "A Thousand Clowns."

There is also an article in the NY Post business section about Garth Drabinsky, but I'm unable to find it on-line. According to the article, "The commercial-crime unit of Canada's Mountines is winding up its two-year-plus proble, with possible charges expected b September, sources say. If convicted of such charges, Drabinsky could pace several years in jail."

Naked Boys Silenced in Provincetown?
I was driving yesterday when I heard a story on 1010 WINS (radio) that the producers at the Crown and Anchor in Provincetown, MA have been fined because their production of Naked Boys Singing is in violation of an "Adult Entertainment" ordinance there. As Naked Boys Singing approaches their third anniversary off-Broadway, even NYC Mayor Giulliani has not even taken on this popular show as being indecent, infact, pointing out in a statement that it is "art". The show which has played around the world has not had this problem before. It is unfortunate that such a liberal town as Provincetown has thrown the Constitution out the window.

New plays, unseen Tennessee Williams work on slate.
After many years without an agreement with Actors' Equity, the late Lucille Lortel's White Barn Theater in Westport, Conn., has re-signed with Equity and will once again be mounting productions of plays this summer instead of relying mostly on cabaret acts and one-person shows as it has in recent seasons.

There's a bench in Central Park that I like to sit on whenever I go there. But today, some guy and his girlfriend were sitting on my bench. So I did what anyone else would do: I beat up the guy and stole his girl.

Moss Hart owned a weekend home in Bucks County, PA., Alexander Woollcott spent a lousy weekend there. Woollcott left extremely unhappy but not before insulting Hart.
