This year's Easter Bonnet competition was filled with delights, from a hilarious opening number with Rory O'Malley as an ambitious actor and Michael Riedel as Satan, to the roof-raising finale in which Bryan Cranston, Fran Drescher, and Denzel Washington took the stage to announce that the New York theater community had raised $4,532,129 this spring to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. There were also appearances by such notables as James Franco, Chris O'Dowd, and Leighton Meester from the Of Mice and Men cast. Here are my pix of the event, held yesterday afternoon at the Minskoff Theater.
